The Psychological and Psycho-educational Testing Center provides a safe environment in which to explore individual psychological testing needs. The Center offers comprehensive psychodiagnostic assessment services to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Areas of testing include IQ, Giftedness, Learning Disability, ADHD, personality, emotional, behavioral; neuropsychological testing (disease-related dementia/memory impairment such as MS, cardiovascular disease, concussions, traumatic brain injuries, competency); pre-surgery evaluations (bariatric, pain); and school/college placement , extra test-taking time (SAT, LSAT, GRE, MCAP).
Sometimes making the choice to be tested is a difficult decision for an individual/family, but being informed can be a tremendous relief. Individuals will learn their areas of mental strengths and weaknesses. The areas of strength may effectively compensate for less developed skills when tackling academic, work, or day-to-day tasks. The goal is to promote academic and occupational success.
The overall psychological testing procedure consist of a consultation session, testing session(Saturday mornings only, approximately 3-4 hours, and a debriefing session to review the findings, recommendations; written report provided).
